Irreducible Posterior Hip Dislocation with Associated Isolated Comminuted Greater Trochanter Avulsion Fracture Treated with Universal Locking Trochanteric Stabilization Plate: A Rare Combination of Hip Injury

Posterior hip dislocation with greater trochanter fracture is an uncommon injury pattern in the acute trauma patient. Frequently associated includes a combination of posterior wall acetabulum, head femur fracture, intertrochanteric and even most severe type combined acetabular fracture. We report 42-year-old man post traumatic bilateral injuries irreducible isolated trochanteric successfully managed open reduction fixation universal locking stabilization plate.
